We are excited to announce the start of our Collaboraction 300 Campaign. We are campaigning to get 300 donors to transform our room 300 by February 26th.
In Aug. of 2010, after 15 years as a nomadic theatre company renting and partnering with numerous venues around Chicago, Collaboraction finally found ourselves a home in the Flat Iron Arts Building in Wicker Park. Over the next 15 months we turned a raw studio into a 70 seat theatre and have since filled it with artists and audiences, including the SKETCHBOOK Reverb, 200 Funny Things, the remount of 1001, Franz Fest, Be a Good Little Widow and our upcoming production of dark play or stories for boys by Carlos Murillo
After a full year in our home at The Flat Iron Arts Building, our landlord gave us the opportunity to develop Room 300, a 2000 sq ft. space that is adjacent to our office and backstage area on the third floor. Since then, we have utilized the space for rehearsals, casting, our Beggars' Banquet, our monthly dating game variety show Looking For Love, and offered it as a low rent rehearsal/event space for itinerant Chicago Theatre companies. These past 6 months have allowed us to cultivate our vision to add Room 300 to our lease and make it a 2nd theatre venue, turning our home on the 3rd floor of the Flat Iron Arts Building into a hub of activities for Collaboraction and other small Chicago theatre companies.
Donating will get your name on our 300 donors list and an invite to a special donor party. Donating $20 or more and you will receive an awesome Collaboraction t-shirt!
Interested in naming rights to this space? A donation of $10,000 will give you a year of naming rights for up to two years. Whether it's for yourself or in dedication to someone special, this is an amazing chance to leave a mark in Collaboraction's history. Please note that Collaboraction is a Chicago-based 501c3 non-profit arts organization, and your contribution is thus tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
