WATCH It's About Time
Written Mara Casey and Directed by Anthony Moseley
Featuring cutting-edge theatrical works, live music and fine art,
SKETCHBOOK is a short play festival like no other, featuring 16 world
premiere plays, each written by one of today's most provocative
playwrights. Performed in rotating repertory, each program features 8 plays. Come
for one program, or buy a festival pass which allows you to see all 16
works on two nights of your choosing or on a Saturday when both are
staged.
During it's 7-year history, the festival has become one of the most
exciting theater events of the season. SKETCHBOOK is all-inclusive:
with no assigned seating, there is no boundary between the audience and
the art. Guests are encouraged to interact with the festival, move
about the space and change their perspectives for each play. Please
book tickets in advance, as tickets for SKETCHBOOK sell out quickly.
Steppenwolf’s Visiting Company Initiative provides the opportunity for other theater companies to present work in all three of the Steppenwolf theatres. These residencies are supported by the artists and staff at Steppenwolf. In creating relationships with Visiting Companies, Steppenwolf enriches the artistic dialogue among its artists and audiences.
